Constructor

GioTlsCertificatenew_from_file_with_password

since: 2.72

Declaration [src]

GTlsCertificate*
g_tls_certificate_new_from_file_with_password (
  const gchar* file,
  const gchar* password,
  GError** error
)

Description [src]

Creates a GTlsCertificate from the data in file.

If file cannot be read or parsed, the function will return NULL and set error.

Any unknown file types will error with G_IO_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED. Currently only .p12 and .pfx files are supported. See g_tls_certificate_new_from_pkcs12() for more details.

Available since: 2.72

Parameters

file

Type: const gchar*

File containing a certificate to import.

The data is owned by the caller of the function.
The value is a platform-native string, using the preferred OS encoding on Unix and UTF-8 on Windows.
password

Type: const gchar*

Password for PKCS #12 files.

The data is owned by the caller of the function.
The value is a NUL terminated UTF-8 string.
error

Type: GError **

The return location for a recoverable error.

The argument can be NULL.
If the return location is not NULL, then you must initialize it to a NULL GError*.
The argument will be left initialized to NULL by the constructor if there are no errors.
In case of error, the argument will be set to a newly allocated GError; the caller will take ownership of the data, and be responsible for freeing it.

Return value

Type: GTlsCertificate

The new certificate, or NULL on error.

The caller of the function takes ownership of the data, and is responsible for freeing it.
